He sat on his horse
The sun high in the sky
He was alone of course
But family was nigh
As the house drew near
He pulled the horse to a stop
And the reason became clear
His heart was going flip-flop
He wanted a family, he thought
So he put on a happy face
For the family he sought
As he approached the place.
A name to call his own
Was what he wished
The nest he had flown
Hoping his dreams weren’t squished.
A place to call his home
This is what he sought
No longer did he roam
In a family’s love he was caught.
