Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23rd 1970 in Las Vegas. Her mother got her name from a perfume bottle. Charisma used to hate her name when she was little (“It sounded like a disease.”), but today she’s happy with her name (“I love my name. It’s who I am.”).
Charisma used to be a San Diego Chargers cheerleader. She had been doing some theater, and the soap “Malibu Shores” before she auditioned for “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” in 1997. She actually auditioned for the part of Buffy, but the producers instead picked her for the part of Cordelia.
In 1999 Charisma moved on to the spin-off series “Angel”. She now lives in Los Angeles with her golden retrievers Sydney and Hobie.
