Sarah Michelle Gellar


Sarah Michelle Gellar was born on April 14th 1977 in New York City. She’s been acting since she was four years old. At the beginning of her career she mostly did commercials, but soon Sarah was making movies and TV-series too. She’s also been on Broadway.

From she was seven years old, Sarah was raised alone by her mother, who taught kindergarten at a private school. Sarah was a real overachiever when she was a little girl. She was doing ice-skating, Tae Kwon Do, karate, auditions and school every day!

Sarah went to high school at the Professional Children’s School in New York City, where she graduated two years early!

When she was 15 years old she got the part of Kendall Hart on “All My Children” After she won an Emmy for that part, at age 18, she left the soap and moved to Los Angeles together with her mother.

In 1997 Sarah got the part of Buffy Summers on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. Sarah actually tried out for the part of Cordelia, but the producers were convinced they had found the right girl to play Buffy, so they gave her that part instead.

Sarah has starred in many movies; including Beverly Hills Family Robinson, I know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Cruel Intentions, Simply Irresistible and Harvard Man.

- Has a brown belt in Tae Kwon Do.
- Has the Chinese sign for integrity tattooed on her shoulder.
- Has two dogs; Thor and Tyson.
- Collects Barbie dolls.
- Is not a natural blonde.
- Her favorite food is sushi.
- Her least favorite food is meatloaf.
- Her best friend’s name is Ashley.
- When travelling, Sarah always puts a fake name or the wrong initials on her bags.
- Works almost 80 hours a week.
- Does most of her own stunts on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”.
