IN HER ROLE AS 'LOU McCLOUD' ON THE YOUNG RIDERS, YVONNE SUHOR IS JUST LIKE ONE OF THE GUYS, BUT IN SPITE OF HER APPEARANCE ON THE SHOW, SHE'S VERY MUCH OF A WOMAN! "I feel very lucky," says Yvonne Suhor, flashing a big smile. "I know I'm the envy of thousands of young girls all over the country." Not only is she one of the stars of the hit ABC series, The Young Riders, but she also gets to work closely with five of the cutest guys on TV -- Josh Brolin, Ty Miller, Stephen Baldwin, Travis Fine and Gregg Rainwater! "I love my job, and I'm crazy about all the guys," Yvonne admits, "But there are moments when I reach what I call male overload, because I'm working with a group that's 99 percent men, and that includes the crew as well as the cast." "I have six sisters," she laughs, "So I was really used to being around a lot of women. This is a real switch for me. It's challenging at times, being in Arizona filming with all the guys for months at a time, and sometimes I do miss womanhood, female companionship and the way women talk, which is so different from the way men talk." Masquerading Yvonne reveals that not only is it the fact that she's surrounded by men all the time, but also the role itself gets to her occasionally. "Sometimes I read books written by my favorite female author. I love reading her journals -- that helps me get in touch with femininity again," she laughs. "The guys and I are definitely like a family, though," she says. "We get along great, but since we usually work six days a week, 12 hours a day, we don't do things together on our days off as a rule. Sometimes girlfriends and wives of the guys are around, which is really nice -- I love doing things with them, like thrift shops, flea markets and antique stores." All different "Josh was a little harder for me to get to know," reveals Yvonne, "Because he's very responsible and poetic, a very deep thinker. Consequently, on the set, we don't talk about things that aren't chit-chatty. He's very intriguing. Ty is sweet and wonderful and Steve is very funny and constantly reminding me not to take life so seriously." "Travis is an imp," she continues, "He's a challenge and a lot of energy to be around. We tend to go at it on occasion, but not in a bad way... in a playful way," she laughs, adding, "They're all different. That's what's so great about them!" |
