Lane is Rory's best friend from Stars Hollow High. Lane is a rocker, and a drummer, although her mom didn't know any of this until this last season. Mrs. Kim (Lane's mom) is a very traditional Korean woman who has always attempted to set Lane up with high potential Korean guys. Lane was dating Dave, the band's guitarrist. Dave has not left for college (and appearing very sexy on The O.C.). Lane eventually moved out with the remaining bandmates, after her mother kicked her out.
