Johnny Sack is still being overly sensitive and when he thinks a member of Ralph's crew might be laughing at him, he flips out and puts the poor guy in intensive care. When confronted by Tony, John smugly replies that it was a message and pointedly makes his disdain for Ralphie known, while Tony pretends he knew nothing about the the original "alleged" insult regarding the size of Ginny's rear end. Tony's still working on his Christopher plan, asking him if he thinks it could possibly be Silvio who is trying to get in good with New York. He wants to know who's talking so he can put an end to it.
John turns to Carmine and wants Ralph whacked, but Carmine says no. For him (and everyone else) it's all about the bottom line on The Esplanade. Johnny mentions it appears Ralph is skimming off the paving job and demands a sit-down to straighten everything out, but he is so unreasonable he walks out, twice. Carmine calls Tony and it's now his responsibility to make Johnny disappear, something he doesn't want to do but he's got no other choice. Uncle Junior suggests the Lou Dimaggio crew in Rhode Island, the creepiest bunch of hitmen I've ever seen.
<p>
Ralph, never the one to accept blame for anything, tells his crew about "Janice's" interest in kinky sex, and says that's why he broke it off with her. Yeah, right! Little does he know Johnny has ignored Carmine's order and has arranged a hit for him. Much like Bobby Bacala, Johnny truly adores his wife, but when he finds her in the basement with a big box of candy he suddenly has a change of heart about Ralph and calls off the hit. And not a moment too soon, since Ralph is actually in the elevator with the fellow when he gets the call.

Turns out Carmela has been studying for her real estate exam after all and decided to pay Furio a visit to offer some advice on zoning variances, even though as AJ points out they weren't really just "passing by." The way she was reveled in Furio's story about Italy, and then at the housewarming when they danced together and she seemed quite comfortable in his arms; I hope this is just a fleeting infatuation, because it could get really ugly if it's not.
<p>
Carmela argues with Tony about his trivializing the things that are important to her, and about equating love with money. Later, Tony shows his appreciation for her the only way he seems to know, he buys her a dress from Saks (get it!) and they make love, but she seems to have other things on her mind.
<p>
At school, Meadow meets the lesbian daughter of Dr. Melfi's shrink, and decides to volunteer at the Law Center. Something that doesn't sit to well with Tony. He's still hoping she'll become a pediatrician. Meanwhile, Melfi's son is thinking about dropping out of college to join the Forestry Service, and she is still partially blaming herself for the rape.
