I FINALLY got the chance to read both Ginger and Jenna's experiences at the Paramus Mall in New Jersey..I've been "computerless" since about the time that Genie did her fan appearances, so I haven't been able to post about meeting her- at the other appearance that she did at the Sears in White Plains, NY. WELL. First of all, it was absolutely amazing to actually meet this woman. Genie is beautiful, and so pleasant..an absolute sweetheart. Most of my day was much like both Jenna's and Ginger's----I got there about an hour or so before she was scheduled to appear in the jewelry dept, and OMG, was it a madhouse. Packed full of people, young and old...hundreds of them. Genie was running late, so the ABC people were picking fans from the line to play the trivia games, but they were only picking people who had actually purchased the L&L ring. HMMM. Very sneaky. When Genie got there, she was sitting at a table up front (much like the setup in Ginger's picture). She signed headshots and also the ring boxes of those who had purchased the ring. She also took pictures and spent a few minutes talking with each fan. I'm trying so hard not to forget anything, I never want to forget meeting Genie. One of the best days ever in my life, so here's my few minutes with her as best as I remember them. I got up to the table and there was a big step, I prayed that I wouldn't fall and make an idiot of myself. Well, God probably heard me because when I shook Genie's hand, she stood up so that I wouldn't have to climb on the step...she hugged me and then sat down. I told her that I had been watching GH ever since I was since a little girl- she laughed and said I made her feel old. She signed a headshot for me and I told her that I hoped she could return to GH permanently. I said that the online fans who had sent the balloons and the cake all say hi and send their love---and Genie remembered that the name of our site was L&L UnRevised- she actually said it to me before I ever mentioned the name. Very cool. She said to say Thank You for the balloons and the cake and that it was very sweet of us.. She got up and took a picture with me, and I didn't want to leave. I did have to get off the line, though--and I started crying because I just couldn't help it...I was in shock. I will ALWAYS remember how kind Genie was- and how much I enjoyed meeting her. Definitely well worth the wait. We love you, Genie. Allison
