Hey All! Today was one of the greatest days of my life! I went to Sears in Paramus, NJ and I stood in line two hours waiting to meet the one and only Genie Francis! The turnout was unbelievable. The line started at the fine jewelry dept. and went in a circle around the first floor of the store. While I waited for Genie, they showed scenes from the 1981 wedding, the Cruise Adventure from 2001, the dream sequence from 2001 with Stavros, and her final scenes in 2002. An hour before she came out they played an L&L trivia game with the fans. My sister and my mom got picked to go up and their question was "What was the name of the cow form Beechers Corners?" They both turned to me for help and I screamed Bessie! They won ABC Daytime tote bags. Then finally after a long wait the GH theme music came on and Genie appeared. She is absolutely gorgeous in person more so than on TV. She has such a warm disposition. My heart pounded as I waited to talk to her. Finally it was my turn. I went up to her and took a picture. Then as she was signing my autograph, I asked about she the balloons that we all sent to her. She said she did and that they lasted for a month, and that she kept them in her dressing room. She was so excited about them. She asked me if I saw the picture in the LA Times. I told her I did. I asked her how the store and family was and she said They were doing great. And then my time was up. She is such a sweetheart and the perfect Lady! She is so warm and friendly. She was all I imagined and more. I still cannot get over my day!
