About The Show:

Popular is a one hour long drama/comedy. It aired on the WB Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. in 99-00 and on the WB Friday night in 00-01. Popular was not picked up for the 01-02 season, but there are rumors of tv movies being made to conclude the series. Popular was probably one of the best shows ever to air on the WB Television network. It had everything from celebrity guests to intense plots. Popular put a new perspective on teen life. This show took real life situations and placed them on a level so that younger viewers could understand. I'll always remember Popular because it never failed to bring a smile to my face. There were two intial clic's the "popular" kids and the "unpopular" kids. The ring leaders were Sam McPherson and Brooke McQueen. These two hated each other and were forced to become sisters. They went through every thing from fighting over a sink to fighting over a boy. (I know some people will hate me for saying this, but I still think Sam & Harrison should have been together!) Sam's "unpopular" group was made up of Harrison John, Lily Eposito, and Carmen Ferrera. Brooke's "popular" group included Nichole Julian, Mary Cherry, Josh Ford, and Sugar Daddy. They would battle back and forth in drawn out crazy situations. Popular was truely a unique show and I have a feeling the WB will miss it.
