1. Capacity to raise the body to a standing position, allowing the ocuppand to reach higher places.
2. The second advantage of this design is the posibility of switching the body's position, avoiding sitting-acquired pressure ulcers (PU) due the long periods of time in this position.

The lift mechanism would be activated by hydraulic, electric motor or other type of mechanism. To activate this system, there would be two button in the stearing joystick, a potenciometer (variable lifting speed) or some other device.
