Boy the first of the series. Wow it was great, but it's more amazing to see the changes between the first episode and FiN.
Xena Girl Fighter

Yes, Gabrielle really changes. Xena's appearance doesn't change though, but her attitude does. She was so...dark sometimes in the first seasons, and by the time you get to the last, she gets so much kinder, and nicer. Gabrielle changed totally. She was really annoying in some of the first episodes. I just got the whole 1st season on DVD, and Gabrielle was so annoying!! How did Xena put up with her?? Lol, anyways. Gabrielle also changes outfits a lot. She has 3 in the first season...Her long skirt deal with the puffy shirt (her 1st), then she gets the amazon outfit in Hooves and Harlots, and lastly she gets that orange, blue and black one, with the v-neck, and the stripes (the outfit is ugly, imo). And then after 1st season and some of second, she finally gets the green shirt, brown skirt one, and sticks with that one for a couple of seasons. Anyways, Gabrielle and Xena really changed over the seasons (is what I'm trying to say), whether for better or for worse, and in personality and appearance wise. Xena smiled so much more in the later seasons, once gabby softened her up a bit :o) And that was my 2 cents...

Oh I know! Also, in the first season they make Gabrielle seems so annoying (it's fun to be annoying sometimes, but not all the time!) and in the last eps, she's more grown up. I like some all of the early season eps, but I also like the later season ones! It's intresting to see how much the characters change, even Xena! She doesn't get new outfits like Gabby but she does change. That's what's so good about this show! It shows that people can change.

well Kathy in Xena , everything is possible. even getting killed then coming back to life! i like the way the developed Gabby as a person. she has changed and was more 'human', not too much of the saint that came to save Xena from the evil way. as for Xena....why change something thats already perfect ???? ;)

Gabby was annoying wasn't she. I think that most of that came from her lack of experience. She had no idea what life was like outside of Potadeia. It took a couple of seasons before she lost that.
