The poem of Gabrielle

There once was a lass from Potedia
with fair hair and a plain cotton dress
Her parents were both only peasants
but she dreamt to be something else.
She dreamt of adventures and heroes
Of meeting new people and Gods
So out of the village she headed
Her boots leaving prints on the road.
But she didn't like war and bloodshed
a poet she was in her soul
Always with she carried her most deadly weapons
her feathered pen and her scrolls.
She looked for the perfect story
The ultimate poem to tell
Little she knew then that for this
She will have to pass heaven and hell.
As she went on walking, daydreaming
Enjoying the beautiful day
She suddenly saw a magnificent sight
One that took her breathe away
Striding silently towards her was a warrior
a woman of black hair sitting on a white mare.
Blue eyes met green in one piercing look
and electricity has filled the air
And in that single moment faiths changed forever
Destinies were altered and decisions done.
For when Gabrielle met Xena on a sunny day
a story of a life time has begun.
