WWF NEWS/RUMORS
*INJUSTICE TO A LEGEND
A Cincinnati radio station was holding a poll for "Top Athlete from Cincinnati". The poll was very biased, when fans voted for the late, great, Brian "F'N"(Flying) Pillman, the radio station ignored the votes. In fact they apparently become hostile to all the fax and calls coming in to vote for Brian. Brian was a great wrestler, and he was a former Begal, he survived throat cancer and a lot of crap that fell in his lap through his life. It doesn't make sense to ignore him. That is unless they are under the impression he died in that hotel full of cocaine.
*HOUSE SHOW
Here are the WWF house show results for December 4th, from good old MSG...Kurt Angle defeated the Godfather, The Hollys won a tag team battle royal, Rakishi Fatu defeated Shawn Stasiak, The British Bulldog defeated Christian, The Hardys/Chyna defeated Too Cool/Chris Jericho, the Big Show defeated Triple H, Al Snow defeated Val Venis, X-Pac defeated Test, Kane defeated Viscera, and in the main event the Rock & Sock Connection defeated the New Age Outlaws - DQ.
WCW/NWO news/rumors
*WCW TIDBITS
Vince Russo recently stated that he is waiting on bring Ric Flair back to WCW TV until he can come up with a really good way to put him back in the spotlight of WCW. Billy Kidman & Eddy Guerrero are on tap for big pushes but they will have to get better on the mic and show more charisma. I wonder why Russo doesn't think Eddy has charisma, he's a great heel. I will admit this much on Eddy's behalf, he is a weak babyface, but then again who isn't anymore? Rumor has it that Sting may be coming out and doing his gimmick that he did from 1996-Starrcade '97. I'd assume it wouldn't involve rafters or dropping from ceilings. Also there are plans in WCW for Wrath if he signs a new deal with WCW. If I were Wrath, I'd take the money cut, get a push, then let everybody come knocking down my door with bigger badder money offers when he's a free agent again. As it stands right now, he's a mid carder with a cool finisher who the fans don't even remember. I like the guy though, always have, since the days of Adam Bomb.
*OKLAHOMA
The character known simply as Oklahoma received 5 complaints recently. The complaints were from people with bells palsy, and they said that they were offended by the former Duckman writer using their affliction as humor. Turner's Standards & Practices came down on WCW for this and now Oklahoma will no longer be making exaggerated facial expressions. I always wondered why they bothered with that considering he dresses like JR(He's even got an attitude-esque logo on his shirt), talks like JR, and hangs out with Dr. Death like JR...Why did we need the bells palsy visual?
*HOUSE SHOW
Here are WCW house show results from December 4th taken in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Curt Hennig defeated Disco Inferno, Evan Karagias defeated the Maestro, Barbarian defeated Prince Iaukea, Jeff Jarrett defeated Dustin Rhodes, Creative Control defeated Jim Duggan & Chavo Guerrero Jr., Chris Benoit defeated Ric Flair, and in the main event Bret Hart defeated Sting
