WWF NEWS/RUMORS
*STEVE AUSTIN OUT OF ACTION!
It seems this could be the premature dawning of a new era in the WWF. All too early it seems Steve Austin's freight train has come to a stop, at least for the time being. According to recent reports from the RWIN Steve Austin's neck injury will have him out for 6 months! This means no Wrestlemania 2000 for the Stone Cold one. His career in the WWF wouldn't be over, obviously. But for the time being it would have to become the Rock's show. Granted that it is almost already that, without Austin there, this would put him behind Rock where it is neck & neck right now. When Steve Austin returns he will obviously have a mighty big return, but in the long run his roles will get shorter and shorter with more and more injuries along the road to the end of his stay with the WWF. This happened with Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart. Steve Austin being a smart guy, knowing the way history repeats itself may be able to protect his career from falling into the same spiral. Even though that spiral would be a light schedule and full of title wins(and loses). He could even be out longer than 6 months, we'll probably get an official report from the WWF later on. Too bad we didn't get to see this Austin heel turn that was rumored to go down before his neck started acting up again.
*STEVE AUSTIN BIOGRAPHY
Well, here's just a recap of the Austin biography that was on A&E across from the first hour of Nitro. The biography started out talking about the humble and gentle beginnings of Steve Williams. Some facts they ran down I wasn't familiar with was that he had dropped out of college a during the final week. The reason he had dropped out was because the research was too much for his short attention span he said. It was brought up that the WWF complained about his use of the middle finger and wanted him to change it to another hand gesture, he refused to because he didn't have anything else. I guess he showed them after they marketed that foam middle finger. When he first showed up in WCW apparently he was only pulling down a salary of $75,000 a year, which by the end of his stay in WCW ended up being raised to $150,000. Compare that to the "5 to 10 million a year" he gets now in the WWF. Also one of the final facts they ran off is that Austin is engaged to marry Debra McMichael.

*KIDMAN TALKS
Here are some highlights from the Billy Kidman interview with Wrestleline.com. He wasn't trained by the Power Plant but joined it after he came to WCW. Same with Kanyon. There were plans to give him the gimmick name, "Billy the Kid" early on in WCW. Also early on in Kidman's career him and Kanyon got WWF tryouts.
*MICHAEL BUFFER!
The WCW movie that will be entitled Ready To Rumble is a major project for WCW. But the ridiculous part that Michael Buffer plays in this movie may be bigger than that of WCW! As you may know, Michael Buffer has copy written the phrase, "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" & "Ready to Rumble". Well anytime a major organization or company wants to use the phrase not only do they have to pay Michael Buffer, but Michael Buffer insists that they USE him as the mouth piece for the phrase! WCW spent half a million dollars for Buffer to come out and do his line and for the title of the movie. You have to assume that was Eric Bischoff's idea, nobody else would have bothered with Buffer's line for a movie title or even to have him in the movie. Has anybody been to Toys R Us lately? Buffer has his own toy out on the market, with his face & voice all over a little toy microphone. Isn't that going a little far for a ring announcer. I always liked that Gary Michael Capetta guy better anyway
