WCW THUNDER - November 4, 1999 Hosted by Scott Hudson and Larry Zybyszco

Evan Karagias versus Juventud Guerrera went to a no contest. Late in the matchup after a Superplex from Karagias on a weary Juvi, Norman Smiley interrupted the contest. Smiley explained to the crowd that when we the fans first laid eyes on him they could tell he was ‘hardcore to the bone.’ He also went on to say that it took him a while to convince the ‘Powers that be,’ to bring back the Hardcore Division, but now that it was put back into motion once again, every wrestler should be watchful because they could be the ‘recipient of a Hardcore Wiggle.’

Cut to a segment where the Revolution was in arms wether or not to add another member to their stable.

Sid is caught backstage and was informed that his booking has been changed for the evening and that he would be teamed up with Perry Saturn. Their opponents would be Ric Steiner and Chris Benoit.

Booker T. w/ Stevie Ray defeated Kaz Hayashi via pinfall. Hayashi was able to take advantage of Booker T. early in the match by working on his legs. Booker T. pre occupied the referee’s attention while Stevie Ray interfered in the match. Hayashi is quickly Flapjacked and then hit with a devastating Missle Dropkick off the top rope for the win.

Cut to the Filthy Animals pick pocketing Doug Dillenger backstage of his wallet and taking his money and dispersing it between themselves.

Cut to a Rick Steiner promo commenting on his tag team matchup later tonight with Chris Benoit.

Eddie Guerrero w/ The Filthy Animals defeated Coach Buzz Stern( formerly Glacier ) w/ Luther Biggs via a pinfall Eddie threw Buzz outside the ring and distracted the referee while the rest of the Filthy Animals overpowered Buzz. Buzz is thrown back into the ring and Eddie was able to hit the Frogsplash from off the top rope for the pinfall victory.

Cut to Berlyn and Curly Bill( formerly Vincent ) backstage with Mean Gene commenting on their Tag Team title matchup with the Filthy Animals.

Cut to a hilarious segment with La Parka. Mene Gene asked if La Parka could make it two in a row when he faced Buff Bagwell for the evening. La Parka spoke in Spanish the entire interview as an inturpretation was shown in captioned text. The text stated that La Parka’s costume was inspired by Skeletor from the He-Man cartoon of yesteryear. La Parka’s translation in captioning also said that he had all the episodes on tape and started obessesing over it so much he created the crazy costume. The end of the translations stated that, “as far as I’m concerned Buff Bagwell should know one thing tonight, thanks to the power of Castle Grayskull and Skeletor - I HAVE THE POWER.”

Buff Bagwell versus La Parka Buff caught La Parka early in the conrner with a choking manuevar. Making quick work of Skeletor, Buff executed the Blockbuster and made the pinfall.

Konan and Kidman w/ The Filthy Animals defeated Curly Bill and Berlyn to retain the Tag Team Titles. Berlyn and Kidman began the contest with Kidman being the recipient of a dropkick. Kidman recuperates and caught Berlyn with a running clothesline. Konan is tagged in and both he and Kidman gave Berlyn a double elbow. Berlyn found a way to tag in Curly Bill and he was able to get off some quick offensive moves. Curly Bill reached over for another tag to Berlyn but Berlyn refused and began to walk backstage. Berlyn’s bodyguard got a cheapshot on Bill and Konan was able to lock on the Tequila Sunrise for the victory.

Cut to a Lash LeRoux segment. The ‘Cajun Sensation’ explained that he would go far in the Tournie and eventually become the World Champ.

Mene Gene interviewed Van Hammer and said the rumor backstage was that he was the next in line for a spot in the Revolution.

Lash LeRoux defeated Silver King via pinfall. Both men were outside early enthralled in a brawl. LaRoux gained an advantage late in the matchup by evading a moonsault by Silver King. Lash hip tossed Silver King and set him up for the WhipLash, and that was all she wrote.

Dean Malenko w/ The Revolution and Asya defeated Van Hammer via submission. In the ring Van Hammer explained he deserved a spot in The Revolution and there were two things they could do. Either let him in right away, or let him fight his way in by defeating Malenko’s ‘vertically challenged’ ass. An aggravated Malenko is relentless with Hammer’s leg from the beginning. Not much longer afterwards, Malenko easily executes the Clover Leaf submission and Hammer taps out.

Eight man Over the Top Rope Opportunity Knocks Battle Royal w/ Steve Regal, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Scotty Riggs, David Taylor, El Dandy, Prince Iakeua, Chris Adams, and Jerry Flynn. The winner gets an opportunity in the Tournament on Monday Nitro, and the losers may not ‘have a job,’ as far as the ‘Powers That Be’ are concerned. El Dandy is put over the top rope first by Flynn and Riggs. Chavo is able to get Chris Adams over the top rope next, with Flynn and Riggs soon thereafter. Taylor is able to get Iakeua over the top and all that were left in the ring were Chavo, Regal and Taylor. Taylor and Regal double teamed Chaco, however Taylor and Regal are tossed and Chavo is the victor.

Sid and Steiner are backstage plotting. Sid told Steiner he should fall down for him so he could pin him and get the easy victory. Steiner on the other hand seemed to have other thoughts.

Sid Vicious and Perry Saturn w/ Asya versus Chris Benoit and Rick Steiner went to a no contest. Sid and Steiner started the match and attempted their pre-conceived plan. Sid touched Steiner and he quickly dropped to his back. Sid went for the pin, however, Steiner turned it into a small package and tried to pin Sid. An angered Vicious followed up by Power Bombing Steiner, and then left the ring in disgust. Meanwhile, Benoit and Saturn are engaged in combat with several chops being exchanged in the corner of the ring. Steiner reaches out for a tag but Benoit clears his nostrils onto his tag partner. Steiner not to happy with the display, Steiner lined Benoit and then gave Saturn a Belly to Belly Suplex. Steiner, like Sid earlier in the contest proceeded to leave the match towards the back. Benoit is able to recover quickly and executes three German Suplexes onto Saturn and hits his Flying Head butt soon after. As Benoit began to pin Saturn the Revolution rushed to ringside to ambush the Wolverine. The Filthy Animals make their way to ringside as well, and a battle ensues between all parties to end the program.
