Chip

Chip started out his life in my kitchen where he was raised with his brother. When he was old enough he went to live with my friend, Fran Davidson. Soon after it was determined that Muggs could not have puppies again, Fran gave me Chip as a Christmas present. I will always be grateful for that. At the time, I lived in Kansas City MO. In 1996 I moved to Dallas Texas and Chip came with me. It would be a few months before my daughter joined me with the rest of my group.
All was well until one day when I came home from work, Chip was gone. My other two dogs were there, but not Chip. My daughter and I searched everywhere. We posted flyers, we called and visited animal shelters, but no Chip. This was a very bad time for me. To top it all off, I started to receive phone calls from soneone who said they knew where my dog was, but would not bring him back. Well the phone calls stopped and after six months I was sure I would never see Chip again.
I made the decision to purchase a show male and Khan came to live with me. (You can meet him on another page). Imagine my surprise when several months after bringing Khan home, I received a phone call from a vet who said that my missing boxer had been found. When I went over to the vets, an assistant went into the back to bring out the boxer. She was gone a few minutes and then there was my Chips head comming around the corner. He actually pulled the assistent off her feet to get to me. He was covered with fleas, had some open wounds and turned up heartworm positive, but he was home.
I was very lucky that there wasn't anything else wrong with him. We killed the fleas, healed the wounds, took care of the worms.
My beloved Chip left my side on August 10, 1999. He was a true friend to the very last. With each breath he would show his love and caring. I miss him very much.
