Honeys 4 : Angels 0
In the second inning, the Angels became hitters. After the first strikeout, the next 3 batters each hit singles and the Honey defense prevented them from advancing. It was all for nothing, though when the next batter hit a grand slam down the right field line. The next batter struck out, but the following batter hit another single. The next batter hit a bouncer to Katie C at third base who stopped the ball and put out the base runner who was trying to stretch her run to two bases.
The Honeys were up at the plate, hoping to get break the tie and lengthen their lead. Crystal go a double and was able to score on Staci's single that followed, but that was the extent of Honey Hits. After three strikeouts, the Honeys' lead had been cut down to one.
Honeys 5 : Angels 4
The Angels were unable to improve their score much in the third. Although they had 3 singles and 1 double, they were only able to score two runs. Abby stopped one hit at second base holding the runners, and Emily made another stop at shortstop. Courtney tagged a runner going to first for the first out which was closely followed by 2 strikeouts.
The Honey's bats woke up in the third. Emily, Cassidy, Erin, and Kira all got on base (although Emily was put out at second on a "fielder's choice"). Kira got one RBI, then Courtney hit another 3-run homer collecting the other RBIs.
Honeys 9 : Angels 6
The Honeys shut down the Angel bats in the fourth with 2 strikeouts and one put-out by Courtney. As batters, Katie C started out with a single and Crystal's triple moved her around to score. Time was up at that point.
