May 25th against the Angels

The Honeys started off the game with a bang! Meridith hit a single to get on and after a strikeout, Monique followed with a single of her own. Katie C hit them both in with a triple to left field. Cassidy got her home with a single. After another strikeout, Kira hit a homerun for the final 2 runs of the inning.
The Angels could only partly answer. Their first batter also got on base but an outstanding play by Courtney at first base kept the second batter from getting there. The next 2 batters homered, driving in 3 runs altogether and that was the lot. After another single, the final batter struckout.

Honeys 5 : Angels 3

In the second, the Honeys ebbed a bit with only one single and no runs.
The Angels, on the other hand got really hot making 5 runs on 6 hits with one strikeout and no fielding to speak of.

Honeys 5 : Angels 8

Erin started off the third inning with a triple. After a strikeout, Abby and Monique both had singles with Abby getting credit for the RBI. Katie C scored 3 RBIs when she hit a homerun to center field. Cassidy and Courtney followed with a single and a double, respectively, and Kira knocked them both in with a single to Rover, scoring the limit of 5.

The Angels seemed to be on a hitting streak, but the enthusiasm was squashed when Katie tagged out the first runner at third base. The next runner scored on a single to second, but 2 strikeouts later the inning was over and the score considerably different.

Honeys 10 : Angels 9

The Honeys were still hitters as the third inning unfolded. Crystal started off with a single and Staci batted her in with another. After a strike out and an out at 1st, Erin hit a single putting Staci in scoring position. Meridith hit them both in with a double up the middle. The next batter struck out ending a very successful 3-run inning.

Although, they were in a position to possibly take the lead, the Angels were not able to reciprocate. They had two batters (a single and a strike-out) before time was called, preventing them from being able to bat further.

Final Score:

Honeys 13 : Angels 9
