Emily started off the game with a bang getting a single to the pitcher and Katie C. followed her with a double up the middle. After a couple of strikeouts, Cassidy hit in our two base runners with a single before the last strikeout.
At the bottom of the inning, the Sliderz came back with strength getting 6 base hits and 3 runs before the final strike-out.

In the second inning, the Honeys hit a snag. Although both Crystal and Erin got singles, the final out was made before they could get across the plate. Though the first 2 outs were strikeouts, the third was a well-hit fly ball from Katie B that just happened to land in the third-baseman's glove.
The second inning proved equally difficult for the Sliderz. They only got one hit before the third strikeout was made. The score remained

The third inning was a virtual replay of the second. Abby started out with a great basehit down the middle that the pitcher was able to snag and throw to the first baseman. Emily was actually able to get to first base on a hit down the third-base line, but 2 strike-outs later had not been able to score.
At the bottom of the inning, the Sliderz dittoed their second inning as well. The first out was made with a throw from Kira to Courtney at first base. The second batter hit a double, but was stranded when the next two batters struck-out, so the score remained:

The fourth inning proved to be the turning point. The Honeys started off with hits from Courtney, Cassidy, Meridith, Monique (who was credited with one RBI), Erin (who was credited with 2 RBIs), Staci, and finally Katie B. who hit in the 5th run of the inning. 
The Sliderz weren't done either, though. Their first four batters hit singles, but the second one batted out of order and was called out. After a strikeout, a double scored the first 3 runners. Two singles later, another run had scored, but a final strikeout ended the game with a tie.
