O Sinner

O Sinner,
Yet, I call to you
Come, take flight
Upon the eagle's wing
Soar, amongst the heights
of My heaven
Drink long, from the fountain
of My love
Submerge yourself,
In My streams of refreshing
Walk, amid My fields
of Peace
O Sinner,
Yet, I call to you,
Come.

Footsteps

My footsteps are light
they have scored
The highest snow-capped peaks
And plunged the depths of canyons
Yet never left a trace.

My footsteps are light
They have passed through
Walls around man's heart
And have stood upon the broken
Shards of souls
Yet My presence was not known.

My footsteps are light
they have walked through water
Never stirring the motion of the sea
And passed through fire
Yet not a burn to be.

My footsteps were light
When I carried you
From dungeons of hell
And crushed the heads of serpents
then stood atop the clouds of heaven
With rejoicing to tell.

My footsteps will be light
As I lead you through this life
They will not pass ahead
Nor lag behind
They will not lead you into darkness
Yet will become your sight.

Words Upon the Pages

Gently,
Softly,
Caressing my soul
We danced around
The thoughts of romance
While the pages of our love
Began to come alive
We played the song
That lovers play
With words of sweet repose
We painted pictures
With our hearts
Two souls began to join
We teased the cords
Of love's sweet innocence
We spoke of days ahead
And sang the song of love
Two lives becoming one
We embrace the night
Then seek the dawn
Our comfort being found
In words upon the pages
Of love's sweet sacred ground.

Night Rains

It falls gently tonight
Strumming against the walls
Of brokeness within my soul
Pains of love lost
Never being found
Heartache
Deep within the confines
Of my spirit
A part of me
Seeking you
Days turn into nights
Nights turn into days
There is no moon nor stars
No sun to light my way
As I slip beyond the reaches
Of reality
Night rains begin to beat
They batter the shards that are left
Of my humanity
Mirrored images
in the pools of
Dreams.

Friends of Joy

You come quickly
You bring the joy of God
In your eyes the world
Is a place to fill with love
To cast away darkness
Setting people free
Your laughter fills
Rooms of souls
Searching for hope
Needing to be filled
Your contagious joy
A breath of fresh air.

My Child

My child?
Where are you?
Your feet were here a moment ago
Have you moved
To someplace I cannot go
To the world's arms of sin?

My child?
Where did your faith disappear to?
You were strong yesterday
Standing atop the Rock
Of My Beloved Son
Filled with strength
peace
and love

My child?
Can you not see nor hear?
My voice in the night
My hands held near
To deliver you from all fear

My child?
I am here beside you
Waiting.

Who turned the world inside out
Who set me in the midst of chaos
This desert, barren and scorching
Skies bleeding with the cry of Allah

Who erased the stars from heaven
Who hollowed out the earth
The lambs are set amongst the starving
Skies bleeding with the cry of Allah

Who scattered bones into the wind
Disintegrating as dust
The voices of the plagues arising
Skies bleeding with the cry of Allah

Who calls the shepherds to the front
Who dismantles all the armor
The chariots are set ablaze
Skies bleeding with the cry of Allah

Who gathers peoples into a fold
Who breathes a wind refreshing
A King, a horse, a sword brought forth
Skies bleeding with the cry of Allah

In The Arms Angles

In the arms of the Angels
Is where she'll be
The battle was raging
She could not see
They gathered her up
Against the arrows abound
Her armor was battered
From her soul was no sound
In the arms of the Angels
She rose to the heights
She stood on the mountains
With our Lord of Lights
The Angels laid her
In the arms of Love
With Mercy and Healing
She's restored from above
In the arms of the Angles
Is where she'll be
Standing on Calvary
In complete victory.

Each man will be like a shelter from the wind, and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land. Isaiah 32:2
