VILNIUS PREPARES FOR
HISTORICAL CONGRESS ON COMMUNIST CRIMES

In preparation for 2000 international congress on Communism crimes, the organizers of event are holding on Saturday a meeting of organizational committee in Vilnius municipality.
The working teams of committee are supposed to present the draft scenarios of congress and consider organizational issues.
Among initiators of the historical congress are four local organizations for participants of resistance movement and victims of Communist terror. The congress receives sponsorship from the national government and Vilnius city municipality, as well as the Fund for support to probe into Communism crimes.
The landmark congress due on June 12-14 is expected to attract reporters from all the world countries which are home for people victimized by the Communist terror and which represent organized struggle against Communist ideology. The congress is to be joined by the scientists who make research into the history of Communist rules.
In addition, there are plans to make a documentary film about the damage of Communist ideology to some countries.
