“My Castle Walls”
I am the queen of my castle,
surrounded by walls.
All the freedom is mine
to travel my halls.
I can put on passion plays
complete with beautiful sets.
Say whatever comes from my heart
Worrying not of any regrets.
I can dream of beautiful places afar
or dance and sing
or be a beggar or Czar.
All the freedom is mine
To do with what I want.
Travel through my minds maze
on a great scavenger hunt.
And keep all lifes treasures or
discard them by choice
But my castle walls are crumbling in on me...
There's no space in my halls..
My heart simply can yearn now
for the time when death calls.
