Where is my lover?
...He's on the other side of the ocean,
so many miles away from the one who loves him dearly.
Each night as I try to rest,
...I stare at his picture that lies beside my bed.
Why can't his body be beside me too?
His love is all that keeps me warm
With him so far away
...I am deteriorating and cold
Why do I still not believe
...that he will come for me?
Has too much time passed -
...that I fear his love will not last?
I haven't heard the words "I love you"
...for what seems like years
And each night after asking why my lovers body can't be by mine
...and call his name out loud
I atlast sleep-
...suffocating in my tears.
