G. A. Gunstream, Sr.

GUNSTREAM, G. A. SR., “CORPORAL”, (Plot 2; Evergreen Cemetery), Born: 1843. Deceased: 1912. Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in 1862, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “H”, 1st Regiment, “Texas Partisan Rangers”, “Major’s Brigade”, C.S.A. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service in June, 1865, by General Walter P. Lane. At which time he held the rank of “Corporal”. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing).
