Henry Hayes Russell
RUSSELL, HENRY HAYES, (Plot 2; Evergreen Cemetery), Born: May 24, 1845. Deceased: May 03, 1912. Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America, in May, 1863, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “B”, 4th Regiment “Texas Cavalry”, C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of Orange County, Texas, He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service on the 22nd day of May, 1865, By “Disbanding” at Mosley’s Ferry, Texas. At which time he held the rank of “Private”. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). His wife: Beulah C. Russell received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 43303
