Charles Perry Howe

HOWE, CHARLES PERRY, “MUSICIAN”, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America in June, 1861, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in “Bate’s” 15th Regiment of “Texas Infantry”, C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of Columbia, Texas. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service in April, 1865, by Colonel Harrison. At which time he held the rank of “Musician in Band”. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). Charles’s wife: Emestine Renett Howe received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 49390.
