MICHEL, ADRIAN, Born: Unknown. Died: 1873, in Orange County, Texas. Buried: “Morse Cemetery”, Buna, Texas. Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America, on the 1st day of March, 1862, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “I”, 28th Louisiana “Cavalry”, C.S.A. At the time of his enlistment he was a resident of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service on the 10th day of March, 1865, by Brigadier General Allen Thomas. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” Application…his writing). Received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 10444.
