Walter Florence Moss

MOSS, WALTER FLORENCE, (Plot 2; Evergreen Cemetery),Born: January 28, 1845. Deceased: April 19, 1919. Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America, in February, 1862, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “K”, 10th Regiment of “Louisiana Infantry”, C.S.A. At his time of enlistment he was a resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service in May, 1865, by parole by General I. T. Hayes. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). His wife: Julia Moss received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 47613.
