PEVETO (PEVOTO), ROBERT, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America, on the 15th day of May, 1862, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in “Wilson’s Battery”, “Light Artillery”, C.S.A. He was a his time of enlistment a resident of Orange County, Texas. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service on the 10th day of May, 1865, By Captain Robert Hughes. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). Brother to Alfred, John and Samuel.
