Joshua Perry Tatum

TATUM, JOSHUA PERRY, (Plot 5; Evergreen Cemetery), Born: November 19, 1841. Deceased: February 06, 1934. Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America, on the 11th day of May, 1861, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “F”, 2nd Regiment of “Louisiana Infantry”, C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of Jackson Parish, Louisiana. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service on the 6th day of March, 1864, by Surgeon J. H. Stephens, for “Disability”. At which time he held the rank of “Private”. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). Received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 30936.
