Thomas Young
YOUNG, THOMAS, Enlisted in the service of the Confederate States of America, on the 20th day of December, 1863, and served “Honorably” as a “Private” in Company “F”, Dailey’s Regiment of “Cavalry”, C.S.A. He was at his time of enlistment a resident of Orange County, Texas. He was “Honorably” discharged from said Confederate service on the 25th day of May, 1865, by Colonel Dailey at Hempstead, Texas. At which time he held the rank of “Private”. (Obtained from “Southern Cross of Honor” application…his writing). Received a Confederate pension from the State of Texas. Pension # 03215.
