OMAHA, SEPT. 12 -- Kenny Boyd and Ben Johnson combined to rush for 284 yards as state-ranked Paul Pewitt rolled to a 34-8 win over Clarksville. Boyd picked up 172 yards on 18 carries and one touchdown.
Johnson added 112 yards on 18 carries and a TD. The Brahmas spotted Clarksville an early 8-0 lead as Tyrone Richardson scored on a 48-yard run and Olassie Hobbs added the two-point conversion.
Hercules Tarver closed the deficit, catching a 38-yard scoring pass from Jimmy Wilkerson, who then ran in the two-point conversion. Wilkerson put Paul Pewitt up for good right before halftime on a 7-yard TD carry.
Wilkerson scored his second rushing touchdown in the third quarter from a yard out.
In the fourth quarter, Johnson scored on a 1-yard run and Boyd added a 56-yard scoring romp to finish out the scoring.

Hornets' linebacker Cory Johnson ended the Brahmas last chance to score with an interception with four minutes left to play.
It was Hooks first win of the year and Paul Pewitt's first loss.

LINDEN, OCT. 3 --Ryan Hamilton's 20-yard scoring pass to Andre Young lifted unbeaten Linden-Kildare past Paul Pewitt.
L-K, 5-0, trailed the Brahmas (2-3) 8-7 when Hamilton hooked up with Young with 39 seconds to go in the third quarter.
The Tigers opened the scoring on Neal Corbett's 18-yard touchdown gallop and Hamilton's extra point midway through the first quarter.
Paul Pewitt eased in front 8-7 on Ben Johnson's 5-yard TD burst and Jimmy Wilkerson's two-point conversion with 10:32 to play in the second quarter.
Linden-Kildare opens district play next Friday at home against Pittsburg.
