Dean Koontz has several different pen names, or pseudonyms, that he has used in his writing. According to interviews, these many personages arose because his agents and editors wanted him to create a new identity each time he changed styles of writing. Similar styles would then be grouped together under the same pen name. Later, these pseudonyms were dropped and his works came out under his own name, first as Dean R. Koontz and then simply Dean Koontz. The Questions and Answers page, linked on left, has more information. Below is an alphabetical list of each known pen name and what books were published under that identity.
