DUCK AND COVER, PAKISTAN IS ABOUT TO TEST MOMENTARILY! Pakistanians Celebrating - Dancing In The Streets - Settling Score With India - India Parliment Wants To "Talk"
Ken Starr, being relentless as a prosecutor, is after Lewinsky. Having gotten the Secret Service to be forced to give testimony about whether they have seen President Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, intern, together in any compromising positions, Lewinsky could be in big trouble.
So far, Lewinsky has avoided having to refute charges, but if there is a Witness and she is proven to have lied under oath, it could be, "So long, Lewinsky...See ya!".
That would put two down, how many more to go...with Susan MacDougal and Monica in the slammer, should this come to pass. How can it not? Someone saw something, or Starr would not be calling in the Secret Service. Starr has been holding this Ace up his sleeve and this will be the final card. How the American Public will react is something else. So far, most of us are bored with it, but if a young girl, maybe not so innocent, but a previously working intern goes to jail, Clinton's ratings will fall. His daughter, Chelsea, in College, and Monica in Jail? This will not sit well with the Voters. Even though Clinton and Hillary can not run again, it will hurt the Democratic Party all across the board, down to the Governorship and Senate and Representative Races. The only alternative for Monica at this point is to cut a deal; A Big Deal! She needs to become a witness for the Presecution and tell all. Of course that will ruien her Book Deal, which will be a tell all, after she is safe when the Investigation is over. Cutting a deal will mess up her plan for book and tv movie deals, because we will know the whole story before she can sell it to us. But, that's Life in the Big House in Washington.. More developments in the White House will be forthcoming this week. The Starr-Clinton-Lewinsky Story will take a turn this week. Watch for deals to start getting on the table and leaks to start springing forth like the fountain of youth.
Monica Lewinsky gave handwriting samples and finger prints in LA today and was mobbed by Press leaving the Courthouse. The writing is on the wall. Lewinsky's father gave the Press a statment saying, "My daughter is being used as a pawn by Ken Starr and it is Un-American". Monica, herself, did not give a comment.
Looking trimmer and with a slightly softer and shorter hairdo, Monica Lewinsky appeared more business woman than her usual alluring, sexual look with the hair thing in her eyes. Lewinsky was all prim and proper and in nicely fitting blue suit. She calmly walked and did not seem particularly upset by the Press, however it will be a coup for any journalist to land her first Television Interview. It will have to be a heavy weight who gets the interview and most likely will be Barbara Walters.
Several restaurants reported seeing Miss Monica, former White House Intern, now the center of President Bill Clinton's privotal point of Truth...did he or didn't he Tell The Truth? If Lewinsky is in Houston, it would not be to shop - unless for a lawyer; a better lawyer and fast! Houston has top lawyers known for getting the rich and famous off scott free. Is Monica the next?
Lewinsky's lawyer, Gingsburg, has made more mistakes in the past two months than she can afford to let happen. If she is going to come out of this alive and squeaky clean, she needs to start over with a new lawyer and law team. Gingsburg has indicated Lewinsky to be guilty of lying under oath on several television interviews. Gingsburg was hired to prove Lewinsky innocent. Gingsburg just can't seem to keep out of the limelight for himself and to keep his mouth shut and protect his client.
Look for Lewinsky to put together a new "Dream Team" and possibly one of Houston's top names to be heading it up. If it is not lawyers she is after, it might be a good P.R. firm, or to borrow money. Her legal fees are astronomical. Maybe we will be having Fund Raising lunches in River Oaks for Miss Monica.
Homer says,"Here's A Doll! Jordyn is a Sweetie too! She is nice and polite and talented as well as a Beauty. Jordyn is seven and created a terrific web site with her mom Jodi. She loves the computer and she loves Pageants and all her pageant friends. She's a Lousiana Beauty and...
Just to set the Record straight... Neither I, nor my daughter, nor my internet friends who have sent in their children's photos to be run in The Texas Gazette, support nor believe in the type of pageant which Jon Benet Ramsey competed in. I do not judge that type of pageant either. Alot of the pageants are no more than little talent shows, similar to what every school held in the fifties and sixties all over the United States. Very little makeup is worn, lipstick usually. When you are on stage, you wear makeup, no matter what your age. The bright lights are killers.
This Editorial is not meant to cover all of the Pageant World, but only a brief comment, since putting Jordyn's photo on front page, I received email questioning pageants for kids. I do travel the country, judging pageants, and have seen some wonderful, talented children and met some super parents. Sometimes there is the pushy mom with the unhappy child, but she is the same mom you see in the grocery store pushing her child to keep going when the child is clearly tired. Some people are bad parents. This does not mean, all Pageants are bad. It is fun to win the crown, the money, the sash, the title, but it is also fun just to enter.
I would never trade all the traveling, the people, the excitement and the preparation which my family has put into pageants. Also, as a judge, it is comforting to give back! I see a child, not the most expensively dressed, with great raw talent, not the best hair cut, but a spark in the eyes and I give them points over a "processed" clone pageant'patty type. I look for originality and confidence and on stage presence. Pageants are about "show business". You either like it on stage, front and center, competing, or you don't. People who think all pageants are bad forget that some of us were born to be on stage and enjoy singing, dancing, speaking and lead in that field. Just something to think about before you judge another family's hobby; which Pageants are, a hobby, for my family and alot of my friends.
Only a few hours ago, Phil Hartman, the great funny man of Saturday Night Live, the best Bill Clinton impersonator and the good- hearted and sweet, loveable Phil died of gunshot wounds in his home in Los Angeles.
Police removed two children from the home and while doing so, heard a gun shot from the bedroom. Phil Hartman's wife shot and killed herself. Neighbors say there had been marriage problems of late, but "thought things were better". It has also been reported that Phil Hartman had told his wife that he wanted a divorce and that he had met someone new and he was leaving. The police said he was in bed when shot. That he appeared to be resting in bed.
Saturday Night Live has given us the best in Comics but some of the worst deaths have also been associated with these Stars. How tragic! Phil Hartman, a hard-working man and loving father, who was so happy to have made good and bought a nice home. His home meant everything to him and he was proud of his family and his home. Police are still trying to interview the children and uncover what happened.
Poem I:
metaphorically speaking
my love is a never ending river
flowing from the mountains
taking several turns, meeting
many boundaries.
the main stream slowing down to a trickle-
running into the sea.
you are my sunrise
my sunset
the morning dew glistening on
a newborn leaf.
you are the stars glistening
in the midnight sky
the first rays of dawn
when the clouds are pink
and purple-
beautiful.
you are the suns rays shining through
the clouds forming the
stairways to heaven.
you are my everyday,
every thought,
every breath.
you are my life,
my love,
my world.
just me,
sitting by the window.
looking, longing, hoping.
praying that today will be the day.
searching every face as it goes by.
looking for the gleem, the knowledge, the "one".
daring not to dream,
praying not to hope,
yearning for the completion...
of my soul.
Searching far and near,
from face to face,
name to name,
terminal to terminal
heart to heart
soul to soul.
Wondering if today is the day.
Waking up to nothing,
teetering between existence and
utter dismay.
Closing my eyes at night..
alone.
Feeling the arms around me for just an instant...
then the sunlight hits my eyes...
dreaming again.
