Top Ten Black Men in Movies

10. Samuel L. Jackson : Because he's been in everything ever (see a future Top Ten for details)
9. Dolemite (Dolemite) : Has action replays in his films of particularly ill moves.
8. Inspector Todd (Beverly Hills Cop) : Ever notice that the chief of police is always black? Anyway, Todd gets in here for not taking any bullshit from wise-ass Axel Foley, or anyone else.
7. Mr Butler (Menace II Society) : Hardcore black father and defender of the youth. Likes his barbeque.
6. Furious Styles (Boyz N The Hood) : Another hardcore black father, but with a better name. Also likes his barbeque.
5. Hubert (L'Haine) : The responsible member of the crew - and most people wouldn't expect THAT from a black man.
4. Master Sargeant Apone (Aliens) : Comes out of hypersleep, immediately smokes largest cigar this side of Havana. Brings the pain drill sargeant style.
Hudson: "This floor's freezing!"
Apone: "What's the matter Hudson? Want me to fetch your slippers?"
Hudson: "Would you sarge, I'd be ever so grateful?"
Apone: "Look into my eye."

3. Williams (Enter The Dragon) : Classic quote - "BullSHIT, Mr. Han, man!" Style is unorthodox but effective.
2. Homicide cop as played by Bill Duke (Menace II Society) : If there was an American version of "The Sweeney," this guy would be Jack Regan. Roughneck interrogation style.
1. Morgan Freeman : You'd have to be a fool not to recognise the real. Plays an old, wise black man in every film. Did he act when he was young?
