May 12,2000 TEXAS:
This 400 yard wide tornado struck on Friday, May 12,2000 at approximately 4:10 in the afternoon. It destroyed about two dozen homes and killed at least one person (although some reports say two). The tornado stayed on the ground for over fifteen minutes. It also appeared blue in color although it didn't show up well on the picture. The tornado was later listed as an "F3".
The same storm also produced large hail (larger than golf ball size).
