But little does he know... "And don't pretend as if your angry either....because Cloud... you ARE."
Is this...my...mother?? Jenova... --Sephiroth's thoughts
--Sephiroth's thoughts
"Me? I was mesmerized by the way Sephiroth fought..."
Cloud grew up in Nibelheim. His dream was to be in Soldier, so he went to Midgar and supposedly got in. He was placed on a mission to a Mako Reactor in Nibelheim under Sephiroth.
But during the mission, Sephiroth found some things out about himself, and he went crazy. He was twisted with revenge, and was more than determined to find the Promised Land of the Ancients with his mother, Jenova.
Now, Cloud has one mission on his mind...and that...is to stop Sephiroth.
"It seems strange, you know some things you shouldn't, and you don't know some things you should."
--Tifa talking to Cloud
Tifa is a very strong woman. One of the coolest in RPG history if not THE coolest. Tifa grew up in Nibelheim with Cloud. She was always popular with the boys, and Cloud always felt left out because he was kinda scrawny. But they ended up being friends, and both knew that there was something more than just friendship there. Tifa was too prideful to admit it, and still is. Tifa was sad when Cloud left Nibelheim for Midgar to be in Soldier, and they spent the last night together sitting on the city well, just Cloud and Tifa.
Tifa knows something is wrong with Cloud's remembrance of his life. She helps Cloud with his false and real memories during the game. In fact, she is the reason he found out who he was...
--Aeris' thoughts as she prayed in the Lost City of the Ancients
Aeris stumbles onto Cloud as he falls into her church in the slums of Midgar. She loves flowers. Aeris seems to be really soft and feminine during the game, but she proves her courage and loyalty as the last remaining Cetra by using her gifts and the Holy Materia to save the world from Meteor. Aeris continues to pray, knowing Sephiroth is above her with his sword drawn, so that she can do her part to save the world. Cloud takes her to a pond outside the Lost City and quietly says his farewell. An invisible tear falls into the water as he watches Aeris slowly fall to the pond floor.
