Show #1 - October 17th, 1998

This was our FIRST show! It was at some girl's birthday party in Friendswood. It went very good. We were going to play outside, but it was raining, so we played inside. They had to clear out all the furniture in the living room. The kids were all skankin'. It was cool. After we played our set, Josh's brother busted a flow with Russell doin' some funky rap-bass.

Show #2

I don't remember the date of our 2nd show, but it was at Grace Community Church. It went pretty good too. Lori's dad filmed it, and also during our swing song, her dad was dancing. It was neat-0.

Show #3

Our next show was at Josh's 18th birthday party. We did the living room thing again. We had to wait for Nick to arive, so Josh, B.J., and Scott jammed some punk rock before our ska. During our set, most of the people were skankin' (including that 'bazzy' fellow that seems to be our #1 fan). Afterwards there was a wrestling match. It was truly a great moment in our lives.

Grace Community Church Gymnasium in Clear Lake, TX - January 27th 1999

We played before the Wednesday night Youth thing. It was really cool and there were alot of people in the 'pit' skankin' like crazy. One guy even jumped off the stage and crowd surfed.

Grace Community Chruch in Clear Lake, TX- January 29th 1999

The band Crown of Thorns opened for us. They were pretty good. They are a rapcore band. Squish, the bass player, was the oldest (he is in his 20's) and the rest of them were either elementary or middle school age. The drummer had a really neat drumset. It was a rough mosh pit for them, though. I think someone got injured. We played an okay show, we had some problems with the keyboard, and Russell wasn't in tune with Josh. We had to stop and there were long delays between our songs trying to fix the problems. Scott jammed hard on his drums to entertain the crowd during the delays. There were alot of people to see us. Overall it was a pretty good show.

Another Birthday Party In Clear Lake- February 12th 1999

We had a pretty ghetto show this time because we played in the backyard. It went decent, and Russell recorded the show on his Lavender Love Machine. The only problem was that it was very cold and Josh and Scott had trouble playing because the cold air makes your fingers stiff. However, they gave us free Papa John's pizza and we sat around afterwards listening to the tape while chowin' down on pizza.

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Nassau Bay, TX - February 26th 1999

The band Pummel opened for us. They were a heavy metal hardcore sorta band. Whatever they were, they were loud and distorted. They sounded decent. Russell, Nick, and B.J. had fun in the semi-mosh pit with the other kids that were there. We were on next. We played alright. The band that played after us was Crookes Cross (I think that is what he said they were called). They were good too, the guitarist did alot of cool solo stuff.

Spring 1999 Tour - BOOKER, TEXAS - March 17th to March 20th, 1999

I have a whole section on our Spring Tour '99. Click on the link to read all about it! We had a blast!

Clear Lake High School - 8th ANNUAL BATTLE OF THE BANDS - March 27th 1999

We won 2nd Prize ($75), and Scott got Best Drummer Award ($10)!!! It was a really good experience because this was our first contest. The swing band Triple 20 won 1st Prize. They deserved it too because they ROCKED! (or should I say SWINGED?) The band Suburban Rhythm got 3rd Prize. They were a ska-punk band. Other bands that played were The Catalyst, Save Yourself (punk rock), and three heavy metal type bands: UNFOLD (they were disqualified because of profanity and refusing to stop playing), Third World Chaos, and With Illest Agression.

Deer Park High School - GOT HOPE SHOW - April 9th 1999

Our show went okay, but we GOOFED OFF TOO MUCH ONSTAGE!!! We tried our hardest to get the crowd up dancing, but they were dead. After we did our thing, there was a speaker. He was pretty good. Then after that, the First United Methodist Church Worship Band played. They were okay.

ERIC BAZZY'S BIRTHDAY PARTY - Saturday, April 17th 1999

Well we attempted to record a demo with Bazzy's digital 8-track, but we FAILED. We also attempted to play a show, but we also FAILED. (because we had no audience...) Well it was okay because they guys from Suburban Rhythm (a ska band) dropped by and saw us play our songs. They thought we were pretty good...

St. Peter's Episcopal - CHRISTIAN COFFEEHOUSE - Saturday, May 15th, 1999

Our show went really well considering the place we played had a mega-reverb effect... Alot of kids were dancing, which is always cool... Some girls even started doing cartwheels! Thanks to Michelle's friend, Carly, for gettin the crowd goin'

The Rock - DEEP ELLUM, DALLAS, TX - Friday, June 18th, 1999

Russell, Scott, and B.J. did a little side project with rock vocalist Rebecca Torrellas. It was really fun show and we got to go on a road trip to Dallas. Our show went pretty good, considering that we had only one week's preparation time. Other bands that played were E.K.G. (Heavy Metal with a Southern twist...) and Octane (rock n' roll).

Pearland High School - CAN FOOD DRIVE - Mondy, Nov. 15th, 1999

After a long break, 903BUOY is back! Our show went pretty good, besides the fact that we haven't played a show in months. This show we again visited Mega-Reverb Land (because we were playing in a gym).
