903BUOY - Spring Tour 1999

Spring Tour 1999

Day 1

Wednesday, March 17th, 1999

We left Houston in the morning in our big white rental van, which pulled the trailer that had all our stuff in it. Lori's dad, Jim Richey drove. It was a pretty long drive to Booker, TX (where we played our show). Booker is located at the top of the Texas Pan Handle on the border of Oaklahoma. It was a boring trip up and Robbie farted alot. We arrived in Booker in the evening. Everyone stayed at different houses in town. Russell and B.J. had the best house, (the Skipper's) because it had an indoor pool. C.J. Skipper showed B.J. and Russell the dog food plant (where they made dog food out of cows that had died in the fields) that he managed.

Day 2

Thursday, March 18th, 1999

In the morning Russell, Mr. Richey, and Mr. Hearon got a tour of Mr. Skipper's meat packing plant (Booker Packing). They got to see cows get killed and processed into big slabs of hanging meat. It was interesting. After that, everyone got together and we practiced at Booker High School Auditorium. We had our show that evening. It went very good. Most of the kids in the audience were middle school age, and they all loved B.J. because he looks like he should be in N'SYNC. They wanted our autographs, which was cool. Robbie filmed the show.

Day 3

Friday, March 19th, 1999

We all went to Josh's grandparent's farm near Liberal, Kansas. It was really fun because there was snow. We had a big snow fight. Michelle was especially vicious, and pelted people with hard packed balls of snow. Josh and Brad (Josh's brother) rode around on the 3-wheeler. Russell, Brent, Robbie and B.J. also got to ride it. Russell crashed into a bush and fell off the 3-wheeler. It rolled on top of him, but he was OTAY!!! B.J. and Brad's friend Clint helped Russell get out from under the 3-wheeler. We also shot guns. Russell was glad that we didn't shoot any animals! We went back to Booker that night. We had a pool party at the Skipper's indoor pool.

Day 4

Saturday, March 20th, 1999

We left Booker for Houston in the morning. Overall we earned over $1,000 dollars! On the way home Scott kept doing his imitation of Buckwheat (Buh Weet) from Eddie Murphy's skit on Saturday Night Live. "Wookin' Pa Nub!" and "Unce tice fee times a mady!" were some of the phrases that Buckwheat used. Russell and Robbie had major gas and farted alot which stunk up the whole van. Over all it was a good trip and a cool "Tour".
