These photos were taken just north of Colorado springs, Colorado. I believe this is an abandoned section of US 87. What is unusual is that it is an abandoned divided highway!

I first thought these were airport runways, but the more I look at it the more it looks like highway. Maybe a reader can help.

I think that is Pikes Peak in the background.
