Here are some pics from the first Freestone County Jamboree. It was held on June 1, 2, 3, 2000.

The line up included the following bands.

THE LIBERTY BLUEGRASS BOYS

From Left to right: Billy "Digger" Davis on banjo, Calep "Sparky" Lewis on fiddle, Roy "Mr. Roy" Bennett on mandolin, Neil "Curly" Edwards, Johnathan "Shotgun" Davis on bass. Yes the bass player is short and rather young looking. That's cause he's only 9 years old. He is great on that bass though and enjoys playing with his dad. "Digger" is his dad.

THE BLUEGRASS SOLUTION

This group is from Houston, Texas. They are very good and are working on getting a cd together.

THE LEWIS 4

This group is from Missouri. They consist of two brothers and their sister. The bass player is the wife of guy on left. I can't remember their names.

JIM AND JESSE McREYNOLDS

Above picture graciously supplied by Gary Duncan of Waco, Texas

Another shot of Jim and Jesse that I took.

Harris County Line from Houston, Texas

Roger Matthews & Jackie Dugan

This was a real neat diversion from all the music during the festival. Everyone enjoyed these two very much. Roger is a member of Midnight Flight below.

This is Midnight Flight from Missouri

Other groups that were there include Overdrive, and True Bluegrass. However I don't have any pictures of these groups to put up in here.
