Stranded miles from town in an attempt to escape bands of marauding indians, a small group of settlers cross paths with the bounty hunters responsible for the indian uprising. Unaware that their latest slaughter of an indian medicine man has released an ancient demon, the bounty hunters proceed to terrorize the helpless settlers, starting with the brutal rape of the youngest of the women. Soon, however, the two groups must band together in an uneasy alliance to fight for their lives against a supernatural enemy which feeds on the still warm hearts of its human victims.
