It’s hard to say it but getting Scottie could have been one of the worst moves the rockets ever made. At first it seemed like a dream come true for the rockets. I’m sure Pippen would love for the rockets to use the old Triangle offense that won the Chicago Bulls 6 NBA championships, but why change for one player. If pippen says he’s not a part of the offense then how to you justify the scoring of dickerson and mobley who each average about 10 a game. In Chicago Scottie was a slasher who loved to take it to the hoop, dunk it and get to the free throw line. After getting the ball to the post you can often see him just stand around so when they finally do give the ball up he would rather just shoot a trey instead of driving to the basket.
