These are my daughters, Lauren, Bailey, and Amanda....
We went to the State Fair of Texas with some friends of ours from the #DFWmetro channel on IRC undernet.
That's BluJeans with her two daughters in the photos... and the awesome camera work was done by none other than the incredibly talented ^PhotoGuy.
We went to see Clint Black play in concert that night and the kids held up better than the adults I'm afraid. the next day I had given so many shoulder rides, that I felt as if I had been beaten with a... ummm... two ton heavy thing.
From Left to Right... BluJeans, Lauren, Amanda, Kristi, Bailey, Stephanie, and myself.
Lauren did *NOT* want to go on the 'Tornado' ride at all once she figured out what it was going to do. She had been pestering me for 45 minutes to ride the thing, then went into hysterics once she was buckled in. But once we got going and she realized she would perhaps live through it, her screams turned to cackles of laughter and she wanted to "go again daddy" the moment it ended. Man, I love my kids.
Bailey loves these chain swings. Lauren does too even if she looks a little bored in this picture. I guess ^PhotoGuy caught her at a weird moment.
Middle of October and as you can tell by the sheer brightness of this one, it was a mere 8 bazillion degrees outside.
I love this picture of the 4 older girls by the fountain. We were just about to go take our places for the Clint Black show when this one was snapped.
This is how you navigate the midway with 5 girls... I carried Amanda, while BluJeans lead the way with a train behind her. Bailey had found a plastic Samurai sword earlier, so we were pretty sure she could hack us a hole if the crowd got TOO thick. Hahahahaha!
