Driver Bio - Kevin got hooked on drag racing at the age of 14 and went to his first drag race with a longtime friend Russell Stockwell. He started racing at the age of 18. His first drag car was a 1966 Chevy 2. He ran it for about 2 years in the bracket class. His second car was a rear motor dragster with a carbureted big block. He ran it from 1978-1981.
Kevin built his first altered in 1980. It had a 481ci big block Chevy with carburetors. He later went on to run alcohol injection. The cars name was crazy horse and ran a 8.20 in the ¼ mile. In 1984 he changed bodies to a 1985 dodge Daytona and picked up a full ride sponsorship from a locally owned Mr. Gattis. In 1988 he sold both the altered car and the funny car and bought a 1984 Al Swindall ex. Top Fuel car. This car was mostly run in the bracket class with a fuel injection big block with a power glide. He sold it in 1991 and took a 14 year break. In 2005, Kevin bought a 32 Bantam Roadster and joined the Outlaw Fuel Altereds and in 2007 his 18 year old son John took over driving duties on the family hot rod.
