JC
Joseph Campbell “a.k.a. JC” started Racing Sports Magazine in 2007 as a hobby. His idea behind staring this magazine was to increase the awareness of the great sport of drag racing. Drag Racing has always been a passion of JC’s since he was a child. Growing up in Mesquite, TX street racing was always around. It started to be an every weekend thing. He had little chance to go to a drag strip, but when he did, he got hooked. After publishing Racing Sports Magazine he realized he need something to get news out every week instead of on a monthly basis.
“The idea to start a radio show came from trying to put an internet radio show on our web site. Not knowing anything about radio I started researching everything I could on how to get started. The more I learned and the more people told me that I couldn’t do it and it wouldn’t work, I knew I needed to try! I knew I could start this radio show and make it work. I love when we are doing and I love the support we get from our audience. I am working with some of the coolest people I could ever meet. I look forward to building this radio show to its full potential with my team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our listeners and sponsors for your support because we could not do this with out you.”
Chris Graves
Chris Graves has been an avid drag racing fan since he could walk. Graves picked up photography in high school via his father David and has contributed to publications like National Dragster and Hot Rod Magazine. As a senior in high school, Graves started touring with Mitch King’s Top Fuel Team and continued with the team until mid-2006 when he took a job at Pedregon Racing working for the Q Horsepower Nitro Funny Car Team.
Graves finished 2006 with Pedregon Racing but could not commit to full time due to his dedication of finishing his college degree at the Univ. of North Texas. In early 2007, Graves received a job offer from Dale Creasy Jr. that allowed him to go to school during the week and crew for Creasy on the IHRA 12 race tour. The team won the 2007 IHRA Nitro Funny Car Championship with six wins and seven finals and Chris is on board for the 2008 Creasy Family Motorsports season as well.
Meanwhile, Chris remained a full time student and photographer and race reporter for the Outlaw Fuel Altered Association since 2002. Graves recently earned his NHRA Super Comp license and can now also be heard co-hosting Racing Sports Live! And Check out MaxCacklePhotos.com
Eric Marc
Eric got his start in radio in 1998 tucked away in Cuernavaca, Mexico at a little super charged radio station that broadcasted to over 350,000 people called Factor 100. After a brief internship he was offered a little radio show that featured Rock in English. It was a short lived show, because the Program Director did not check with the station owner if it was cool to have an English speaking show in the heart of Mexico. We were pulled off the air in the middle of our 10th show. This ignited the radio fire in Eric’s soul and the rest leads him to 105.3. Eric challenges you to find the tapes of this show and if you do find the tapes will you ask the guy who has the tapes to return all the CD’s he stole too!
After graduating college with a degree in Spanish and English, Eric aimlessly roamed the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex looking for that perfect job. It wasn’t long before he found an internship with The Pugs and Kelly Show. He worked as a their slave for 2 years without pay and much abuse, but it was by choice, because he loved coming to work in a real live radio station. He stayed put, worked countless hours and with perseverance and tenacity he eventually was hired to be the full time Executive Producer of The Pugs and Kelly Show.
Eric has worked on many shows and with many people on LIVE 105.3 and he has found new comfort in the loving arms of the Drag Racing community and Racing Sports Live. He is excited about this new learning opportunity (he was bitten by the drag racing bug) and looks forward to many great years of fun with this show!
