He felt almost dizzy. The lights, the screaming, the music...the screaming...at the same time, he never wanted the dizziness to end. This was what he lived for, and he made sure everyone knew it as he danced along the edge of the stage, watching all the girls throw their hands up towards him as if he was some sort of idol. He couldn't help but smile as he reached his keyboards once again and listened as the last chords faded away.
"All right!" Taylor Hanson screamed into his microphone, the smile brightening his beet red face. The crowd screamed in answer to his comment, and he glanced down to see yet another girl go down from the heat of the enclosed area. The security guards reached down and pulled her out, carrying her away. Taylor glanced at his older brother, Isaac, giving him the signal to start Wish That I Was There.
All night, Taylor had seen the sign held up right in front of him. Big bold letters that said "Taylor, I'm coming to get you!" He figured it was another one of those sick signs written by overzealous fans, but as the intro started, Taylor noticed the sign was gone. He shrugged to himself. He had enough time to back away from the keyboard to wipe falling sweat out of his eyes before Zac started singing the song. His gaze fell on a shadow beside him...one that wasn't his. He put his hands back on the keyboard, only to catch a glimpse of the girl's tremendously dark brown eyes fixed right on him.
It was then Taylor knew the girl wasn't going to stop. Somehow she'd gotten on the stage, in the spotlight, and was heading straight towards him. The crowd's screams heightened as Isaac stepped center stage to take the attention off Taylor. Where is security? Taylor panicked.
One more step backwards, but the girl was still running straight for him. The next thing Taylor knew, he was sliding...sliding on something...and he knew he couldn't stop. He held his hands up to protect himself. His feet kept sliding...sliding right off the end of the stage....
