All too soon, it was over, and Isaac, Taylor, and Zac had left the stage to deafening cheers and screams. In the midst of all the noise, Michelle said something unintelligible.
"What did you say?" I called, attempting to be heard over the screams.
"I said," yelled Michelle, "let's go over to the gates! I think they're picking the backstage people now!"
As we headed over to the growing crowd, Michelle revealed a surprising fact. "Remember when Isaac walked along the stage, touching hands? Well, he touched my hand!"
"That's awesome!"
"And that's not all," Michelle continued. "During 'A Minute Without You', I think he was looking at me!"
"Oh my gosh, Michelle! That's incredible! Wow, a celebrity has a crush on my best friend, who apparently has a bigger crush on him than she told me earlier," I hinted.
"Okay, I admit it. You're right," said Michelle, blushing (which doesn't happen often). "But anyway, enough about that. What happened with Taylor and you?"
"Nothing, at least compared to you and Ike."
"What is that supposed to mean?" she pressed me.
"The same thing happened with the hands. As he walked by, our hands touched and our eyes met, but that's all. No looking at me during songs or anything, not that I expected that. After all, that just doesn't happen, except in fanfic stories. Or so I thought. I can't believe it happened to you! You are so lucky!" Just then, a guy came out of the gate. "Michelle, look! I bet he's choosing MOE people! Come on!"
We hurried over to the gates. Luckily, many people had already left the concert, so it wasn't quite as crowded. We stood there for a while, but then I lost sight of the guy. "Michelle," I said, "I don't think anything's going to happen, so I guess we could go now."
"No, let's wait just a few more minutes, okay?" asked Michelle.
"Okay, I guess so," I gave in. Michelle was looking over my shoulder with an interesting look on her face. I was about to ask what she was staring at, when I felt a tap on my shoulder.
