Opening Hand Combinations
Centauri
An amusing starting hand combo for the Centauri
includes a Centauri Telepath
and Ranger Operations, drop both as soon as you can, then start
using the
Telepath to take a look at your opponent's hand, placing any
nasty looking
non-character card on top of their deck, then 'burn' it away
with your
Ranger Operations!!

Minbari
Actually, you can Telepathic Scan with the Minbari on
your first turn. Just
have Delenn, Telepathic Scan, Affirm Alliance and Lyta Alexander.
Lyta's
cost is 8, reduced by 1 for Delenn's Vorlon Mark, then by another
3 from the
Affirm Alliance. Voila. Cost: 4. The only person
able to break this
combo will be G'Kar, and it is very unlikely that he will have
a Level
The Playing Field in his opening hand.

I personally like:
Minbari Power Politics Deck

Campaign for Support
United Front
Rathenn (or Dhaliri)
Talk about getting dip out in a hurry. You can usually talk people
into going
along with it too that early in the game, you don't look like much
of a
threat. I use Rathenn or Shakat when I think I will get away
with it and a
strong but cheaper character like Dhaliri if I think someone will oppose.

Humans, War Decks, Minbari
Humans: Military buildup, Crusade and First
Battle Fleet- yup, a first turn
Crusade which I reckon is pretty sick, this normally gets B5 to around
10 influence before anyone can stop it! Add your "Weapons Upgrade"
and a
bit more cheese and it's an easy, cheesy win!!
War Decks: The same hand is usable in
war decks but replace the Crusade with
Establish Base.
Minbari: Similarly the Minbari
can scare everyone lifeless by building on
turn one, playing "A Moment of Beauty", then on turn two casually drop
your Military Buildup and then your Warleader's Fleet!
