Cooking with dmarie

In 1989 I was know as *The Hamburger Helper Queen* and surely have come a long way from there!

In 1992 I started dating a man that ran a BBS. At that time decided I need to try to learn to cook. I found out about Meal-master a great program for recipe management. This was the program most people on Fido-net was using so I got it! I also started a forum on Fido-net called low-fat cooking, this was eventually taken over by an online friend Karen Mintzia. I see some of her work even now sometimes when I am surfing around the net.

Anyway, when the previous mentioned man and I broke-up I was trying to learn to cook. The thing was I had not gotten very far in that learning process. I did gleam some knowledge from his mother. She is an awesome cook!

The first meal I ever prepared for my husband was the worst spaghetti ever made on the face of this earth!!! Considering I was not originally making it for him did little to help the situation. He married me anyway exactly 3 years later.

He can tell you that I have come a long way since that first night. He does like Hamburger Helper but does not seem to complain with my current attempts.

I now use Mastercook for recipe management and find it superior in many ways to my previous program. Either program is good, I just like Mastercook better. To each their own.

Our cable provider finally upgraded our area and now I get FoodTV. Awesome channel! I watch Emeril, Sara Moulton and Bobby Flay almost everyday.

I am also an avid recipe collector! With over 7 years years of collecting, I know I will never try all the recipes I have. However, if you are looking for a particular recipe, e-mail me, I probably have it.

So enjoy the links and feel free to contact me for any reason at all.
